Pop-it Butterfly Spelling Activity

Encourage your little ones to enjoy spelling practise with this 'pop-it' inspired word work activity. Pop-its are a popular fidget toy that many children will be familiar with. 

How to Use this Word Work Activity:

1. Provide your child with a variety of tricky words that are 2, 3 and 4 letters long
2. Remind them to look carefully at the number of letters. Point out not every word will fit in each section on the butterfly
3. Ask the child to fill in the circles on the pop-it with each letter in the tricky word
4. Once they finish, display their artwork where they can see it every day

Tip: You could use a coloured pencil that matches each part of the butterfly!

This activity is suitable for kids of all ages and abilities because you can choose which words to practise. In the beginning, providing written words for them to refer to while practising spelling can be helpful.
